According to Sanatan Dharma, Indian mythology, Maheshwarism (Maheshwaritva) and Maheshwari belief Mahesha and Parvati means Shiv and Shakti are not two different or separate deities/god-goddess, they are one and the same. Lord Mahesha and Parvati are inseparable, they are one and the same. in maheshwarism devi Parvati means Goddess Maheshwari (देवी महेश्वरी). According to the Maheshwari Vanshotpatti Katha/Story (origin story of Maheshwari community), the Maheshwari dynasty was born with the grace and blessings of Lord Mahesha (Lord Shiva) and Goddess Parvati (Goddess Maheshwari). Lord Mahesha and Goddess Parvati are the founders of Maheshwari community. And so, Lord Mahesha is the Supreme Being and First Adorable in Maheshwarism. Maheshwarism means Maheshwaritva. Lord Mahesha is the Supreme God and First Adorable (प्रथम आराध्य) of Maheshwaris and Maheshwari community.
Maheshwari Ke Mahesh -
Maheshwara/Maheshwar (महेश्वर) and Mahesh (महेश) is the name of Lord Shiva's Sagun and Sakar form. Maheshwar and Mahesh mean the same. Mahesh is the short name of Maheshwar. Mahesh is made up of two words Maha and Ish (Ishwar), their meanings are respectively great and lord. The meaning of name Mahesh is supreme/highest power. People of Maheshwari community worship Lord Shiva in the form of Sagun, Sakar and Household deity and in the name of Lord Mahesh (Lord Mahesha). Lord Mahesh is the first worshiper of Maheshwaris. Maheshwaris believe that Lord Mahesha is All and in all, the creator, preserver, destroyer, revealer and concealer of all that is. He is not only the creator in Maheshwarism, but he is also the creation that results from him, he is everything and everywhere. Mahesha is the primal Self, the pure consciousness and Absolute Reality in the Maheshwaritva traditions.

महेश्वर (Maheshwara/Maheshwar) और महेश (Mahesh) भगवान शिव के सगुण और साकार रूप के नाम है। महेश्वर और महेश का मतलब एक ही है. महेश्वर का संक्षिप्त नाम "महेश" है। महेश दो शब्दों 'महा' और 'ईश (ईश्वर)' से मिलकर बना है, इनके अर्थ क्रमशः महान और भगवान हैं। महेश नाम का मतलब सर्वोच्च शक्ति होता है।महेश का अर्थ है देवों के देव (सनातन, ब्रह्माण्डनायक, महेश्वर, देवाधिदेव या महादेव)। माहेश्वरी समाज के लोग भगवान शिव को सगुण, साकार और गृहस्थ देवता के रूप में तथा भगवान महेश के नाम से पूजते हैं। भगवान महेश माहेश्वरीयों के प्रथम पूज्य है, प्रथम आराध्य है। माहेश्वरीयों का मानना है कि भगवान महेश ही सर्वस्व हैं, सर्वव्यापी हैं, जो कुछ भी है उसके निर्माता, संरक्षक, विध्वंसक, प्रकटकर्ता और छुपाने वाले हैं। माहेश्वरीत्व में वे न केवल सृजक हैं, बल्कि उनसे उत्पन्न रचना भी हैं, वे ही सब कुछ और सर्वत्र हैं। माहेश्वरीत्व परंपराओं में महेश आदिम स्व, शुद्ध चेतना और पूर्ण वास्तविकता हैं।
